- I never had apple crisp in school in the 60's, but this is an old
- family recipe, and it is very good, and contains no oatmeal. I hope it
- works for you.
-
- Ingredients:
- 7 apples, chopped
- 1/4 c water
- 1 tsp lemon juice (plastic lemons are fine)
- 3/4 c flour
- 1 c sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 7 tbsp butter
-
- Mix water and lemon juice: sprinkle over apples. Place in large,
- flat baking dish (the more spread out the apples are, the crispier the
- coating--otherwise, the size pan is not terribly important).
- Mix the last four ingredients until crumbly. Spread over
- apples. Bake at 350 degrees 35-40 minutes.
-
- Thanks to Nola Hall.
